THIS PATTERN HAS BEEN ADAPTED FROM SOMEONE ELSE’S PATTERN; THE ORIGINAL PATTERN CAN BE FOUND HERE: ORIGINAL Cake Slice Pattern
I do NOT actually speak or know Russian, I used Google translate (which you can do too) and used my know-how to piece together the instructions. I have made some adjustments to the original pattern that I felt made the pattern look better and in the end be easier. Feel free to check out her page and see her pictures and original instructions!
<3 Thanks, Christine
When crocheting dolls/making amigurumi REMEMBER keep your stitches as TIGHT as possible to minimize gaps and create and even looking doll. Also when stuffing your doll, stuff firmly but DO NOT stuff to the point where you can see the polyfill through the gaps in the crochet.
When working in the round: when you come to the end of the row slip stitch into the first stitch of the previous row, then chain 1; in the same stitch as you slip stitched make your first stitch. These will create a “spine” down the backside of the doll and keep rows/color changes more even in your piece.
The number at the END of each line is the stitch count so you can make sure you have the correct number of stitches for each row.
