Like I promised (plus I don't know where else to post free patterns since I can't keep up a blog LOL) a FREE pattern!  I found this pattern (website is stated in the pattern) on a Russian website (NO sorry I'm not Russian or fluent in it in any way) and thought it'd be nice to make a translated version for others to follow.  Now I'll admit you could go to the site and probably figure it all out yourself (and I'm not saying not to if you want please be my guest :) because I did make some changes to the pattern from the original) but I thought this would be an easier and more relaxing way for fellow crocheters to make the plush!  I went ahead (I know it seems rather long but I like to be thorough when I make a pattern) and copy pasta'd it (copy pasted) from my google drive account to here for everyone!  This is basically the same format I use for ALL my patterns (the PDF's are cleaner with color coding, pictures, foot notes, etc...), the patterns I SELL are my own creation, have even more detail descriptions followed by DOZENS of full color photos and collages!  If you like this pattern check out the ones I sell on Etsy! (I don't have many yet but I'm working on it!)

CAKE SLICE PATTERN

DIFFICULTY (XX|  |  |  ) BEGINNER

MATERIALS

Crochet hook 5mm(H), Yarn needle, Scissors, Polyfill, Straight pins, Stitch marker (optional)

IT'S CRAFTCRATICAL STITCH DICTIONARY: (you can reference many crochet stitch tutorials on Youtube for visual aide)

  • BLO - Back loops only: insert hook into the back loop instead of through both loops

  • FLO - Front loops only: Insert hook through the front loop and up through the middle of stitch, instead of going through BOTH loops

  • INC - Increase (invisible): insert hook into the front loop and SC; then insert hook through both loops and SC again

  • DEC - Decrease (invisible): insert hook into the front loop of the next 2 stitches (both front loops will be on your hook), yarn over, pull through both loops and finish as a normal SC

  • BO - Bobble stitch:  yarn over, **insert hook through next stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 of the 3 loops on your hook, yarn over, insert hook through the same stitch, **repeat 3 more times; you should have 5 loops on your hook now; yarn over and pull through all 5 loops, chain.

  • F/O - Fasten off: Cut string and tie off to fasten completed piece

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

THIS PATTERN HAS BEEN ADAPTED FROM SOMEONE ELSE’S PATTERN; THE ORIGINAL PATTERN CAN BE FOUND HERE: ORIGINAL Cake Slice Pattern

I do NOT actually speak or know Russian, I used Google translate (which you can do too) and used my know-how to piece together the instructions.  I have made some adjustments to the original pattern that I felt made the pattern look better and in the end be easier.  Feel free to check out her page and see her pictures and original instructions!

<3 Thanks, Christine

  • When crocheting dolls/making amigurumi REMEMBER keep your stitches as TIGHT as possible to minimize gaps and create and even looking doll. Also when stuffing  your doll, stuff firmly but DO NOT stuff to the point where you can see the polyfill through the gaps in the crochet.

  • When working in the round: when you come to the end of the row slip stitch into the first stitch of the previous row, then chain 1; in the same stitch as you slip stitched make your first stitch.  These will create a “spine” down the backside of the doll and keep rows/color changes more even in your piece.

  • The number at the END of each line is the stitch count so you can make sure you have the correct number of stitches for each row.

Happy Holidays!

2 min read
Hey everyone I just wanted to wish everyone a happy holidays and to remind everyone to stay safe and HOPEFULLY drama free (or as much as possible).

I've been working on a lot of things this year but I have found PEOPLE WANT PATTERNS! So my shop HAS patterns now and I am making more, it takes a little longer to get a doll done (I take a TON (30+ for each pattern at least) of pictures for my patterns; even my BF says he could probably make the dolls, and he's NEVER crocheted before!) but I'm always really pleased with the finished product!

I also have been searching around the interwebz for good kawaii patterns as well and I want to post them FOR FREE, so I will be posting some of the good free patterns I see here, I'll put the patterns (minus pictures) in my journal and in the picture description so keep an eye out for that.

** UP FOR SALE **
+ Chibi Pikachu pattern

** FREE PATTERNS COMING **
+ Cake Slice pattern (translating from Russian and adjusting)

** SOON TO COME **
+ Chibi Spring Bonnie pattern & Doll
+ Happy Pizza pattern & Plush
+ Chibi Squirtle pattern

Thank you all for all the likes and favorites as well!
Christine

My store has been in a slump lately, I've been receiving a huge amount of views and favorites so it's not dying! It's just the slow time of year for any sales based operation.  I'm waiting for everyone to get their taxes back and have a little extra income to throw around at some high quality dolls lol.  So when my store slows down I have what I call "crafting ADHD" I have 4 dolls that I know of that are literally half done, but I have been wanting to start a new series of dolls (see what I mean totes ADHD) but I don't get a lot of feed back on what people would like to see what they really like in my shop and what they WOULD like to see.  I'm am really thinking of starting a UNICORNO series of dolls.  I'm thinking of changing up my store so that it is more like my Yoshi farm section.  1 kind of doll that comes in a variety of designs (mostly because my yoshi's are my top seller, 80% of my sales come from yoshi dolls only!) so that I have some CHEEPER dolls that are easier to produce while I expand my original character doll collection.  So if ANYONE is reading this just leave a little comment on what you'd like to see me crochet, plz.

My Current Ideas:
1. Unicornos
2. My little pony
3. Don't starve characters (including DLCs)
4. "oh shut up and keep making me YOSHI'S!!"
5. (your choice)

Hey everybody I finally opened my shop on etsy for my dolls! Go check it out. I've got a few dolls up and a good selection of options to customize them and you can even request a doll if you don't see something you like! I have coupons floating around the Web if you know where to look lol!

So I'm enjoying crocheting Pokemon and I want to do more but I know I won't be able to do them all since there is over 600 different ones now-a-days. Unfortunately I'm so old I only really know the gen. 1 Pokemon ( I still love the classics). So if anyone has any ideas on some Pokemon you'd like to see let me know!
I'll be doing a Goodra and gengar for sure and redesigning charizard too.
